Inspections ordered for 767 aircraft

The Federal Aviation Administration is ordering U.S. airlines to conduct emergency inspections of 120 Boeing 767 aircraft after mechanics found damaged bolts in one plane's engine pylons. Under the emergency airworthiness directive issued Thursday, airlines must inspect their planes in five or 10 days depending on when the specific jetliner was manufactured, said an FAA spokeswoman. Seven U.S. airlines, including two cargo carriers, are affected by the order.
